The Mogul competition was absolutely riveting.

In the women's competition, a Canadian had it ... then a skier (American Hannah Kearney) who didn't even make the finals in Torino blasted down and took the gold. USA!  USA! USA!

But then Canada got its first gold medal on home turf when Alexandre Bilodeau completed a spectacular run in the men's competition.

These Winter Olymipans are the real deal.  I mean, there aren't alot of sports where death is a possible outcome, yet some of these athletes have balls (and vaginas) of steel.

Contrast that with the NBA, where the most dangerous element is playing herpes roulette with the bimbo at the hotel, and you realize how compelling the winter olymics are.

True Fact!

I'd like to see any NBA dude skiing 100 mph down a 50% pitch of solid ice ...

Hermann Maier flipping over the snow fences during the downhill at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan.  Despite this horrific crash, Maier went on to win gold in the super-g and giant slalom a few days later.

I think Yu Na is a little more athletic than Witt was.

As far as the hockey team. If we could do the impossible and bring together all of the countries best players, in their prime, then I'm giving it to either Canada or Russia/USSR. These two countries have been developing the worlds most talented players for decades.

Of course, I wouldn't count out any other country. The Swedes and Finns would be a force, and if the Czech Republic and Slovakia united to form the old Czechoslovakia, they would be right up their. The Americans would be good too. But they don't have the history that the other countries have.
